Originally from Norfolk, I’m based in London, where I live with my wife and daughter.

I have an MA in History from the University of York. After graduation I worked for almost a decade as an editor at Headline and Quercus, two of Britain’s leading publishing companies.

Since 2014 I have worked as a writer, ghostwriter and editor. My first book, The Traitors, was published in 2017. This was followed in 2021 by Churchill & Son. In February 2026 my third book, The Killing of Trotsky, will be published by John Murray in Great Britain and Dutton in the United States.
